Job Opportunity: We are growing and we are looking for a Counselor/PA Lead to join our team! You Are: Ready to live out our core values in patient and team member interactions. Committed to patient education and providing excellent customer service Detail-oriented, and an effective problem solver You Will Make an Impact By: Being fluent with surgeon schedules and helping with patient education and patient flow within the clinic. Ensuring each patient is educated on expectations, financial obligations, eye drops, post-operative care, insurance coverage, and any other information prior to surgery. Triaging patient phone calls and answering questions or resolving concerns as directed to achieve patient satisfaction. Assisting in onboarding and training of new hires and providing mentorship and coaching to team members on departmental processes. Making sure post-operative appointments are scheduled in a prompt manner and ensuring that financial obligations are collected prior to surgery. Reporting team progress to ensure effective team and inter-departmental communications. Helping to lead and motivate team members by assisting with daily operations of clinic and/or galley. Maintaining positive group dynamics between the patient advocates and surgical counselors to ensure roles work collaboratively. Actively participating in cross-training activities within the department, including the areas of ophthalmic assistant, scribe, and surgical counselor.
