Description Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – PRN Location: Bay City, MI Are you a Speech-Language Pathologist looking for a flexible PRN opportunity? Join our rehabilitation team in Bay City, Michigan, and help residents improve communication, swallowing function, and overall quality of life. We are seeking a licensed SLP to provide individualized speech and swallowing services in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting.

This position is ideal for a clinician who enjoys making a difference while maintaining a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

Complete speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing evaluations as indicated. Develop individualized treatment plans based on residents’ clinical needs and functional goals. Provide therapy to address communication difficulties, cognitive deficits, and dysphagia. Recommend appropriate swallowing strategies and diet modifications in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

Monitor resident progress and adjust interventions based on response to treatment. Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements. Communicate with nursing staff, physicians, families, and other rehabilitation professionals. Support resident safety, participation, and independence through evidence-based treatment.

Qualifications

Current, active Michigan Speech-Language Pathologist license. Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; CF candidates considered if eligible under applicable requirements. Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or geriatric care is beneficial.

Strong clinical assessment, organization, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team.
