Job description

As a Manufacturing Engineering Co-op, you'll work alongside experienced engineers, quality professionals, and production teams to support real-world projects that directly impact product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This is an excellent opportunity to apply classroom knowledge while building practical skills in engineering, data analysis, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.

What You'll Do

Make an Impact Through Real Engineering Projects Lead a project to review and update tolerances on released assembly drawings using Solid. Works . Collaborate with Quality, Design Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to ensure design updates meet customer requirements and industry standards. Participate in engineering change activities that directly support product performance and manufacturability.

Drive Continuous Improvement Partner with manufacturing technicians and engineers to identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and increase operational efficiency. Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects across the production floor. Turn Data into Decisions Collect, organize, and analyze manufacturing data using Minitab , Excel , and other tools.

Identify trends, investigate production challenges, and help develop solutions that improve quality and productivity. Create and Improve Documentation Develop and update manufacturing documentation, including: Work Instructions Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Process Flow Diagrams Engineering Change Documentation Support Manufacturing Operations Assist with equipment maintenance, validation, and calibration activities.

Help ensure manufacturing equipment operates safely and efficiently. Collaborate Across the Business Work closely with teams across Engineering, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, and R&D. Gain exposure to the full product lifecycle and learn how cross-functional teams work together to bring innovative products to market.

Promote a Safe Workplace Support a culture of safety by following established policies, procedures, and best practices.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in: Manufacturing Engineering Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering Or a related engineering discipline Experience with or willingness to learn Solid. Works and engineering drawing interpretation. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing environment. Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologies. Experience using ERP systems or manufacturing software. Familiarity with statistical analysis and data visualization tools. Solid. Works certification or advanced CAD experience.
