Skip Tracer

Reporting to the Senior Manager – Collections or designee, the Specialist – Skip Tracer is responsible for locating assets and location information for consumers that are past due on financial obligations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Communicates with third parties to ascertain relevant information in regards to the consumers.
• Evaluates a hierarchy on consumer accounts for priority work effort.
• Meets goals and standards that require a daily goal of locating consumers or pertinent information.
• Adheres to quality standards while maintaining professionalism and ensuring compliance with the applicable laws and regulations that govern third party collections.
• Participates in other activities as assigned Required Skills/Abilities:
• Must communicate effectively, and take personal responsibility for decisions, actions, and learning opportunities.
• The ability to build strong consumer relationships while delivering customer-centric solutions is required while consistently achieving results, even under tough circumstances.
• Bilingual capabilities is a plus.
• Strong typing skills and a good understanding of Microsoft Office applications.

Education and Experience

• Must have a high school diploma or GED; 1-2 years of collections/debt resolution experience is preferred. Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Frequently required to talk or hear, and use hand to type, handle, or touch objects.
• Regularly required to stand and walk, and may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders.
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds at times.
• Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities. Work Environment: The position is primarily an office
