Report Specialist

Job Summary

Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, the Report Specialist is detail-oriented, analytical, and a critical thinker. They are responsible for transforming data into clear, actionable reports and dashboardds, enabling informed decision-making across the organization. This role requires a strong foundation in data analysis, business analysis, and proficiency in various analytical tools and methodologies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Adherence to Department, Client, and Organization Policies and Procedures Extract data from various databases, CRMs, and spreadsheets, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and consistency Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) Monitor and analyze data performance, trends, patterns, and variances within datasets to ensuring data is high quality and provides value; identify operational bottlenecks or growth opportunities that drive performance Prepare for and support monthly client performance meetings and presentations with actionable data, trends, and solutions to close gaps to goal Work closely with department managers and leaders to support their reporting needs Perform routine audits on existing reports to verify data accuracy and update metrics as business needs evolve Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of report definitions, data sources, and creation workflows Recommend process improvements based on data insights Additional tasks as assigned Required Skills/Abilities: The ability to perform and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high work standard in fast-paced, shifting focus type of environment Must be proficient in SQL, PowerBI, Excel, and data visualization platforms such as Qlik or Tableau Results driven and detail oriented Excellent organizational and time management skills Experience in financial services, with debt collection preferred Previous EDI/data exchange experience is preferred Strong critical thinking and analytical skills Demonstrated attention to detail, delivering high quality work products and results The ability to effectively communicate with vendors, internal operations and compliance teams, as well as senior management Ability to assess pertinent information, anticipate issues and outcomes, and make effective decisions Ability to prepare accurate, highly detailed work product Excellent verbal and written communication skills Education and Experience: Associate degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business or a related field; Bachelor’s degree is preferred Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.

g., Power BI, Tableau); Preferred advanced SQL skills for complex querying, data manipulation and data management 1-3 years of experience providing data interchange, data analytics, business process requirements, and technical documentation or workflows Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills Previous experience in the collections and/or legal industry preferred Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly to non-technical audiences Detail-oriented, with a high level of accuracy and accountability Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Frequently required to talk or hear, and use hand to type, handle, or touch objects. Regularly required to stand and walk, and may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds at times. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.

Work Environment: The position is office-based.
