Human Resources Specialist (Recruitment & Placement/ Classification)

You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (RECRUITMENT & PLACEMENT/CLASSIFICATION) in the CIVILIAN HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICE (CHRO) of MARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI . ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IN JAPAN IS EXTREMELY LIMITED. Please see Additional Information section below.

GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing recruitment, placement, and related management advisory services to include: processing a variety of request actions for personnel such as fill positions, promote, reassign, or similar; providing classification advisory support and technical advise to managers; performing strategic workforce planning; and resolving problems associated with providing effective and efficient recruitment and placement services.

GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: under supervision and with guidance; providing recruitment, placement, and related management advisory services to include: processing a variety of request actions for personnel such as fill positions, promote, reassign, or similar; providing classification advisory support and technical advise to managers; performing strategic workforce planning; and resolving problems associated with providing effective and efficient recruitment and placement services.

PPP applicants will be placed at the FPL, if determined Well Qualified (WQ). To receive priority consideration, the FPL must be the same grade level or equivalent of the retained grade or the grade held immediately prior to separation. If selected below the full performance level, you may be noncompetitively promoted to the next higher grade level after meeting all regulatory requirements, and upon the recommendation of management.

Demonstrated work experience in the occupation is typically qualifying for placement. This criterion cannot be met by education and training. In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: GS-11: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related GS-09: master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.
