Title: Nurse Practitioner Te Hau o Te Ora Location: Invercargill FTE: 1.0 Make a meaningful difference in whānau-centred primary care. Te Hau o Te Ora Invercargill is seeking Nurse Practitioners to join our dedicated, equity-focused team. About us
Te Hau o Te Ora Invercargill is a small, values-led practice supporting 2,007 enrolled patients. We deliver accessible primary health care with a strong focus on equity, continuity of care and improving outcomes for patients and whānau. You will be supported by a highly skilled nursing workforce, a Health Improvement Practitioner, Health Coach and a large, capable administrative team.
Together, we work collaboratively to ensure people receive the right care and support at the right time.
About the role
As a Nurse Practitioner at Te Hau o Te Ora Invercargill, you will work to your full scope within a collaborative, whānau-centred model of care. You will bring advanced clinical expertise, sound judgement and a genuine commitment to reducing barriers to care for our community. Your work will be varied, purposeful and rewarding.
You will be part of a team that values clinical excellence, partnership, cultural safety and practical solutions that make a real difference for patients and whānau.
What you will bring
Strong cultural confidence and competence, with whānau at the centre of care. A sound understanding of the socio-economic and cultural determinants of health. The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment. Interest or previous experience in Urgent Care desired but not essential.
In-depth knowledge of, and passion for, primary health care. Excellent communication, relationship-building and interpersonal skills. A current Annual Practising Certificate and CPR certificate. Experience with Medtech Evolution is desirable, but not essential.
