Automotive Parts Counterperson – Secor Subaru Location: New London, Connecticut Job Type: Full-Time Department: Parts Department Reports To: Parts Manager Pay Range: $18.00–$21.00 per hour About the Position: Secor Subaru is seeking a dependable, customer-focused Automotive Parts Counterperson to join our Parts Department in New London, CT.

The ideal candidate will assist customers and service technicians with parts requests, maintain accurate inventory records, and help ensure efficient daily department operations. We are looking for someone who is organized, professional, detail-oriented, and able to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Responsibilities

Assist retail customers and service technicians with identifying and obtaining automotive parts. Look up parts using dealership catalogs and computer systems. Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory control. Receive, stock, organize, and distribute parts. Process parts orders, invoices, and returns accurately.

Communicate with vendors and suppliers regarding availability and orders. Maintain an organized, clean, and professional parts department. Provide courteous and professional customer service. Follow dealership policies and procedures.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required. Previous automotive parts or dealership experience preferred. Experience using dealership management systems (DMS) preferred. Strong computer skills and the ability to learn dealership software systems. Good organizational, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record, if required for job duties. Ability to meet applicable background screening and pre-employment requirements. Candidates with related experience and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply. Training may be available for the right candidate.

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this position is $18.00–$21.00 per hour , depending on qualifications, experience, and job-related factors.
