What's The Role The contracted SMB Sales Agent is responsible for driving sales and growth within the Small and Medium Business (SMB) segment. This role involves identifying potential SMB clients, understanding their business needs, and providing tailored solutions that align with their objectives. The agent will play a key role in building and nurturing client relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction, and achieving sales targets.

This is a 2 year contracted position for either Nassau or Grand Bahamas and candidates should reside on either of those islands to be considered for eligibility. What You'll Do Sales and Business Development: Identify and target potential SMB clients through various sales strategies. Conduct outreach efforts to generate leads and build a robust sales pipeline.

Understand the specific needs and challenges faced by SMB clients and propose appropriate solutions. Work with vendors partners and internal & external sales & pre-sales teams to develop and offer solutions to meet the business needs of named accounts. Translate customer requirements to BTC’s product & service offering in designated sales territory.

Respond to RFPs, develop proposals, do presentations, including pricing for specific customers. Develop maintain & implement account sales plans. Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with SMB clients, acting as their main point of contact. Manage a portfolio of designated customer accounts and build relationships, with key decision makers, influencers, and other stakeholders within these accounts to maintain customer loyalty and improve satisfaction.

Develop close working relationships within sales teams and other essential support departments. Provide consistent follow-up, ensuring client needs are met and expectations exceeded. Gather client feedback to inform future sales strategies and product improvements. Conduct regular visits to existing/prospective customers to solicit orders & display/ demonstrate products & services.

Product Knowledge and Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of the company's products or services and their relevance to SMB clients. Stay updated on industry trends and competitor offerings to effectively position our solutions. Sales Targets and Reporting: Meet or exceed assigned sales targets, contributing to the team's overall success.

Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and deals in the CRM system. Provide regular reports on sales progress, market insights, and client feedback to management. Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with other departments, such as marketing and product development, to ensure a cohesive approach to SMB sales.

Participate in team meetings, sharing best practices and collaborating on strategies to enhance sales performance.

What You'll Need

This is a contracted position for Nassau and/or Grand Bahamas and candidates should reside on either of those islands to be considered for eligibility. A degree in Marketing/Business Administration/Sales or equivalent qualifications A minimum of 3 years’ experience at a similar level in account/sales management in a business-to-business sales environment. Knowledge of functions & operations of the Telecommunications industry Competent & experienced in the application of target account selling Strong understanding of sales principles, techniques, and the SMB market landscape Knowledge of mobile, fixed, internet, managed and hosted products & service. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of telecoms or technology services Must be computer literate.
