Security Officer

About the Role

CharterCARE#Health#of Rhode Island is looking for dedicated Security Officers to help protect our patients, visitors, and staff across our hospital campuses. This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in security, law enforcement, or the military who wants meaningful work in a healthcare environment. What You#ll Do Ensure the safety and security of all patients, visitors, and employees throughout the facility.

Respond calmly and professionally to difficult, high-pressure, or confrontational situations. Apply CHRI policies and procedures to make sound decisions in the moment. Treat every person you interact with, including#patients, families, and staff,#with dignity and respect. May include automobile patrol duties and coverage across all areas of the hospital, including patient care units.

What You#ll Need High school diploma or GED Valid driver#s license At least 18 years of age 1+ year of security or law enforcement experience, OR 2+ years of military experience (preferred) Customer service experience a plus Criminal justice education or background a plus Strong English communication skills Ability to stand, walk, and be on your feet for extended periods; may include running when needed # Compensation:#Starting at $24/hour, with pay increasing based on experience (up to $35.

70/hour for 30+ years). Shift differentials: +$1.50/hour for 2nd shift, +$2.50/hour for 3rd shift.
