You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Specialized Experience: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes: Prioritize the design and execution of a large number of building construction, maintenance, and repair projects in facilities located throughout multiple geographic areas in the United States or overseas; Perform Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution of funds for facility sustainment, restoration, and modernization of a large inventory of administrative, educational, medical, and/or other facilities; Communicate orally and in writing with professionals of varying backgrounds and functions at all levels of an organization and with external organizations such as Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) and Service component staffs by preparing and delivering reports and presentations; Utilize software systems for managing and reporting on enterprise facilities data and facilities maintenance programs; Develop and manage government facility construction contracts; and Develop and maintain facility service contracts.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) positions within the last 52 weeks may not be promoted more than 2 grades within the preceding 52 weeks.
