4th year Audiology Extern

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated, compassionate, and enthusiastic 4th-year Au.D. extern to join our team for the 2026-2027 academic year . The extern will gain hands-on experience in key all aspects of audiology, working closely with our audiologist and support staff in a professional yet friendly setting. Externship Opportunities Include:

• Comprehensive audiologic evaluations for adults and children
• Hearing aid consultations, fittings, and follow-up care with major manufacturers
• Educational Audiology experience Key Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive audiologic evaluations for patients of all ages
• Perform hearing aid fittings, real-ear verification, adjustments, and follow-ups
• Educate patients and families on hearing loss, hearing aid use, and communication strategies
• Maintain accurate, timely, and HIPAA-compliant patient records
• Collaborate with providers, support staff, and community partners
• Participate in community outreach and educational events as needed Qualifications
• Currently enrolled in an accredited Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) program
• Eligible for a 4th year externship placement (2026-2027 academic year)
• Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Professional, compassionate, and patient-centered approach to care
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Willingness to travel between clinic locations if assigned a rotating schedule Compensation & Schedule
• $45k Stipend
• No benefits
• Full-time (Monday–Friday) schedule, based on clinic hours and academic requirements
