Equipment Operator

SUMMARY The Equipment Operator performs routine manual labor for golf course maintenance. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Mow greens Operate small hand powered equipment Walk mow tees and approaches Rake sand traps Operate large equipment (tractors, loaders, and gang mowers) occasionally Operate all mowing and edging machinery safely Remove debris and clean landscape beds Sand and seed tees and drop area divots Return equipment to the maintenance facility and report all problems to the mechanic Lay sod and seed tees, greens, and fairways Other duties as assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Valid driver’s license Ability to operate light motorized equipment QUALIFICATIONS An individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily.

EDUCATION

AND/OR EXPERIENCE High school LANGUAGE SKILLS Understanding of basic English language COMPUTER SKILLS Not required MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers and fractions REASONING ABILITY Equipment Operators should have the ability to solve basic problems with minimal assistance.
