Job Description

  1. Appropriate Rhode Island Certification: All Grades World Language Teacher, Grades PK - 12 , Spanish
  2. Relevant credentials.
  3. Relevant successful experience.
  4. Support a vision that reflects an ALL STUDENTS classroom program.
  5. Demonstrate knowledge of subject area.
  6. Adhere to the R.I. Educator Code of Professional Responsibility.
  7. Ability to work with colleagues, parents, students and administrators.
  8. Ability to know and utilize technology in the teaching and learning process.
  9. Knowledge of curriculum, standards, grade level/span expectations and performance assessment.
  10. Promote and support the R.I. High School Diploma System and the Common Core Standards.
  11. Promote and facilitate the Professional Learning Community goals.
  12. Support co-teaching model.
  13. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  14. Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
  15. Positive attitude.
  16. Successful interview.

Job Requirements All educators hired by Middletown Public Schools must provide Certification of demonstrated Proficiency or Awareness in Science of Reading and Structured Literacy, appropriate to the work assignment.

Appropriate Rhode Island Certification: All Grades World Language Teacher, Grades PK - 12 , Spanish Bachelors or Masters degree from an accredited college or university Citizenship, residency or work visa required
