Senior Materials Control Clerk-College of Dentistry

Market Range: 03 Hiring Range: $18.00/Hourly JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Senior Material Control Clerk receives shipments, handles appropriate paperwork, and makes deliveries to the various departments and labs within the College of Dentistry. This position also manages the storeroom and monitors stock levels to meet the needs of clinical areas.

Processes incoming freight deliveries, checking packing slips against receiving copies of purchase orders. Delivers merchandise to various departments both in the Dunn dental building and other buildings on campus. Obtains signatures of receipt via incoming delivery log. Monitors the supply inventory of the storeroom, completes purchase orders for items requiring restocking.

Organizes storeroom inventory for efficient order fulfillment, extracts and properly disposes of any expired supplies. Processes storeroom routine requisitions for delivery to various departments. Maintains the incoming freight delivery log for tracking deliveries and department signature. Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED) EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of experience, preferably in a warehouse. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Ability to work well with others. Ability to communicate professionally with staff and faculty. Ability to lift/transfer packages/boxes up to 50 pounds.
