• Vernon, NY 13476, Position Type: Full Time, Education Level: High School/GED, Salary Range: $17.00 - $20.32Hourly, Travel Percentage: Up to 25%, Job Shift: Days, Job Category: MOA/MOC/Scribe, Oneida Health is currently looking for a full-time Medical Office Assistant to serve as a Float in our Medical Practice Network. This position will provide a candidate with a wealth of experience at different offices throughout our network and is designed to be both clinical and administrative. The ideal candidate will be able to work both independently and as part of a team while providing a high level of customer service. Medical experience is a plus, but not required. Being a keen observer while collecting and recording data about the patient. Addressing the needs of patients, visitors, co-workers, and the practice in a positive and timely manner. Demonstrating strong computer skills. Maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for patients including infection prevention techniques according to hospital standards. Assisting providers with procedures and examinations. Performing treatments and procedures as directed. Reassuring patients about wait times and delays, while giving priority to acutely ill patients. Maintaining medical records accurately. Checking equipment and stocking supplies as needed. Placing supply and pharmacy orders. Facilitating and executing physician orders as directed.
