Key Account Manager

SUMMARY The Key Account Manager, Adjacent Markets Americas, is responsible for growing Soufflet Malt's malt-based ingredient business in new markets such as food, non-alcoholic beverages, pet food, and coffee alternatives. The role focuses on prospecting and developing new customer accounts, building the foundation for a new sales function, and collaborating closely with the global R&D and innovation teams.

Frequent travel, including trade shows, is required, and a technical background in B2B food ingredients is essential.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Develop new business for the adjacent business unit by prospecting for and opening new B2B customer accounts. Build the structure and processes needed to sustain and scale new activities. Prioritize opportunities to maximize growth and results. Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements with customers. Apply food ingredients and agri-food knowledge to meet customer needs .

Build strong relationships with customers and internal teams. Work with a start-up mindset within a global organization, with the potential to lead a team. WORKING CONDITIONS Standard working hours with the ability to be flexible given time zone differences. Must be able to remain in a stationary position or stand for prolonged periods of time.

Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery. Personal protective equipment is required of all employees when on manufacturing and distribution sites. Must be able to work in an open office environment with cubicle seating. Must be able to work in the office, attend meetings and interact with others onsite.

Required compliance with all company policies, procedures, regulations and other standards that encourage a safe workplace. Participate in certain events to build the visibility of Soufflet malt on the ingredient markets Area job requires frequent travel to develop adjacent clients.
