Job Title: Behavioral Health Counselor- Macon YDC- Macon GA Agency: Department of Juvenile Justice Job Requisition ID: JR0000003443 Shift: Any (United States of America) Compensation Details: $33,042.48 Job Description: Under general supervision, instructs or trains clients and/or students in a specific area of assignment as part of a program that includes an organized agenda of practical and workforce readiness instruction.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assists with administration and scoring of tests
• Develop and implement behavior management plans as required by regulatory agencies
• Evaluate clients' physical or mental condition based on review of client information
• Maintain confidentiality of records relating to client's treatment
• Monitor, evaluate, and record client progress according to measurable goals described in treatment and care plan
• Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports
• Provides training to direct staff in implementing behavior modification techniques
• Trains to collect information about clients through interviews, observation, and tests Entry Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in in counseling or a related field from an accredited college or university or certification as an addiction counselor from the Georgia Addiction Counselors Association (GACA) or equivalent certification.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in in counseling or a related field from an accredited college or university or certification as an addiction counselor from the Georgia Addiction Counselors Association (GACA) or equivalent certification.
