Tooling and Automation Engineer

Job Description I. Job Summary： Responsible for design assembly processes for products. Perform the research and impimplement new technologies necessary to tackle complex assembly and automation problems that have direct impact to the quality and production of products.

Ensure production's stability and efficency. III. Job Functions and Duties NO. Representative Duties 1 Responsible for design, verification, and installation of tooling and fixxtures based upon project progress, timeline, and budget; ensure newly-developed tooling associted with specific project to be effective; 2 Responsible for all tooling/fixture related work instruction drafting, revision, update, and records keeping; 3 Provide direction and mentorship to third party machine/automation suppliers and/or CM’s; be the technical leader and driver on owned projects; serve as a technical resource to other engineering groups and project leaders 4 Organize cross-functional reviews of the machine requirements, design, qualification and capability 5 Travel to the machine supplier and contract manufacturer for equipment bring-up, qualification, acceptance testing and support during build events 6 Responsible for research and development of new automated cell based on current manufacturing process standards to fulfill the needs of increasing production effeciency, reducing quality issues, and reasonably minimizing cost; 7 Coordination between third party machine/automation suppliers and internal installation/integration team through planning, installation and integration of new automated cell.

8 Designs and develops technically complex processes to improve quality and efficiency. Utilize statistical tools (such as GR&R, SPC and Cp/p. Ck) to ensure processes/fixtures are scalable and are continuing to perform properly once qualified. 9 Provide early and on going manufacturing involvement to ensure new products are mechanically manufacturable with existing or being developed equipment 10 Other duties as assigned; 11 Nothing in the Position Description restricts management's right to assign or re-assign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.

IⅤ. Qualification Job Requirements Language Languages spoken commonly in the workplace are English and/or Mandarin.

• Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, leadership and customers. Experience 1~3 years of experience in the related production processes and technologies Education Bachelor’s degree or above (those with production experience are preferred); Physical Condition

Ability to analyze and solve process difficulties using quality tools Be acquainted with principle of the glass production process; Be acquainted with the IATF16949 quality system; Be acquainted with relevant product standards; Be acquainted with relevant material standards; Be the master of professional skills; Be the master of the methods to analyze or solve problems; Proficient in three-dimensional software UG, CATIA, and AutoCAD. Great abilities of communication and coordination; Great ability of time management; Great abilities of leading and planning; Strong awareness of initiative study and great ability of study; Great ability of organization Training Required IATF16949 auditor certificate; Training about the five reference books. A certificate of continuous improvement of the black belt level or above; Training about innovation methods raining about project management Six Sigma training; V. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
