Bernoulli Instructor in Probability and Stochastic Analysis

Mission The Institute of Mathematics at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) invites applications for a Bernoulli Instructor in Probability and Stochastic Analysis. The term of the position is two years, with the possibility of extension for another two years. The successful candidate will be working in an internationally leading center in probability and stochastic analysis, with opportunity to interact with a large group of leading experts in the fields and motivated young researchers .

Main duties and responsibilities Bernoulli Instructors are expected to teach Mathematics courses at all levels in French or English. The initial teaching load is light during the first two years and gradually progresses. Bernoulli Instructors are expected to develop and sustain an excellent independent research program.

They are welcome to collaborate and encouraged to interact with members of the Institute, but they maintain full research independence. Profile A Ph.D. in Mathematics. A strong background and research record in Probability and stochastic analysis and related Proficiency in English.
