NEMT Wheel Chair Van Driver

Health Ride Plus Inc Health Ride Plus is hiring dependable, safety-focused Non Emergency Medical Wheelchair Van Drivers to transport wheelchair, mobility-impaired, and ambulatory passengers to medical appointments and other approved destinations.

What You'll Do

Safely transport and assist passengers. Operate wheelchair lifts and ramps. Properly secure wheelchairs and passenger restraints. Complete vehicle and safety inspections. Communicate with dispatch regarding delays or incidents. Complete required trip documentation. Maintain a clean, safe, professional vehicle. Participate in required training and on-call rotation.

What You'll Need

Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License and acceptable driving record. Ability to pass required background checks and drug/alcohol testing. Strong customer service and communication skills. NEMT or transportation experience preferred. Ability to complete required wheelchair securement and safety training. Physical Requirements Must be able to frequently push and maneuver occupied wheelchairs, bend and kneel during passenger assistance, repeatedly enter and exit vehicles, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Schedule: May include evenings, weekends, holidays, and rotating on-call assignments.
