This role supports both teller and platform responsibilities within the branch while engaging customers in meaningful conversations, identifying financial needs, and connecting them to appropriate banking solutions, digital tools, and internal business partners. The Universal Banker is accountable for owning each customer interaction from start to finish, maintaining strong cash controls and compliance standards, recognizing referral opportunities, and contributing to branch growth, customer retention, and overall performance goals. This position supports Peoples Bank’s mission, core values, and customer-focused sales culture by consistently delivering an Exceptional Customer Experience (ECX).

Qualifications

Education and Experience

High School diploma or equivalent required 1–3 years of experience in banking, retail sales, or customer service preferred Cash-handling experience preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong customer service skills with a relationship-building mindset Effective communication and active listening skills Sales and problem-solving ability with a consultative approach Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with banking systems, CRM tools, and technology Deliver a consistent, high-quality customer experience aligned with ECS standards Engage customers through proactive, needs-based conversations Demonstrate accountability for customer outcomes and personal performance Meet assigned scorecard goals and maintain high transaction accuracy Collaborate effectively to achieve branch and team goals Maintain consistent referral and customer follow-up activity aligned with branch goals
