Shipping & Receiving Supervisor (Hill Rd)

Operations – Shipping & Receiving
3. Summary of Position
Responsible for overseeing the operational performance of MH1, MH2, Shipping & Receiving Lead and Shipping & Receiving Clerk personnel. The primary role of the supervisor is to assign daily goals and ensure they are met by each team member

Monitor and direct all operational activities of Shipping & Receiving personnel

Ensure all daily shipping/receiving responsibilities are completed

Shipping & Receiving Supervisor will troubleshoot any shipping/receiving discrepancies

Communicate with Sales and Customer Service to resolve any order issues

Assists in the loading/unloading of freight

Communicate any facility, order, or personnel issues with the Shipping & Receiving Manager

Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Assists in inventory monitoring
Qualifications
-
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite

1+ year experience in shipping/receiving

Qualified Lift Truck Operator with fork and pole attachments

Ability to interact with others (co-workers, supervisors, subordinates, vendors, and general public) in a professional manner, to accept constructive criticism from Supervisors, equals and subordinates.

Turf Experience preferred but not required

Bilingual (English and Spanish) Preferred but not required

Ability to lead others in accomplishing short-term and long-term goals

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, Bill of Ladings, Shipping Manifests, and procedure manuals.

Excellent verbal and written communication ability.

Basic mathematics skills are required.

Ability to analyze and solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations.
