Finance Controller

Role Profile: The purpose of this role is to support the full range of the activities of FNZ SA finance function, from playing a part in monthly reporting to taking ownership of a variety of day-to-day processes. This role will report to the Head of Finance and requires attention to detail, combined with good communication skills to ensure a high and consistent reporting standard is maintained.

The successful candidate will ideally possess a working technical knowledge of accounting standards and will have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging working environment. Financial processing and reporting: Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management accounts, and audit packs General Ledger Management: Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, general ledgers, journal entries, and account reconciliations (bank, debtors, creditors).

Tax and Compliance: Compute statutory taxes, prepare tax returns, and ensure adherence to local tax laws and frameworks like IFRS. Auditing: Coordinate with internal and external auditors, supply documentation, and assist with compliance reviews. Budgeting and Forecasting: Track financial performance against key performance indicators (KPIs), forecast revenues/costs, and support cash flow control.

Business partnering: Act as a liaison when required between the Finance team, business and clients. Experience Required: Requirement : CA (SA) or equivalent Minimum 5 years' management experience in a finance role in asset management Strong financial reporting and management accounting experience Proven experience with budgeting and forecasting Sound knowledge of VAT, Income Tax, IFRS, and financial compliance ERP system experience (D365 highly advantageous) Advanced level on Microsoft Excel Very good interpersonal skills.

This role will involve liaising with various internal and external stakeholders including clients. Confident and self-sufficient individual able to manage their own workload effectively to meet deadlines. Good verbal and written communication skills. Taking minutes and meeting notes will be required.
