We are seeking a talented Senior Content Developer to join our dynamic team, focusing on English Language Arts (ELA) and English Language Teaching (ELT) product development.

You’ll play a key role in designing and developing cutting-edge educational solutions that cater to both student needs and current pedagogical trends. In this role, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive content strategy, lead project management, and ensure product quality. This role demands strong analytical skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, and exceptional communication skills.

Experience in ELT publishing or teaching, and managing freelancers is essential. What you will be doing? Content Development & Project Management: Lead the planning of various projects in collaboration with the Line Manager and regional teams. Conduct thorough market research by interacting with teachers, organizing focus groups, engaging in classroom observations, and attending relevant conferences.

Build and manage networks of authors, advisors, reviewers, and freelance content editors. Oversee product development from the planning stage to final publication, ensuring projects on schedule. Compile and manage all necessary documentation for project approvals. Ensure the quality and consistency of materials, addressing any issues with authors and editors promptly.

Organize and communicate progress meetings for content development effectively with all stakeholders. Lead project reviews to assess performance, capture lessons learned, and develop actionable insights for future initiatives. Freelance Management & Communications: Report project progress regularly to the Line Manager.

Manage communications and relationships with authors and vendors. Motivate and retain freelance editors. Participate in progress and follow-up meetings as needed. Quality Assurance & Control: Monitor project costs and alert the Line Manager of any deviations. Ensure all products meet the company’s quality standards. Adhere to established workflows and procedures.

Systems & Procedures: Maintain accurate documentation for projects, covering intellectual property and archiving of assets for future use. Follow in-house policies to ensure comprehensive project documentation. What you need to be considered?

Education

Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, TESOL, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in content development or editorial roles within English Language Teaching (ELT) publishing. Experience with content development for digital platforms is a plus. Skills: Strong English communication skills, both oral and written, including editing and proofreading abilities.

Strong understanding of ELT methodologies and curriculum. Expertise in project management with the ability to handle multiple projects. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 is essential. Familiarity with Adobe programs (such as InDesign, Photoshop, or Illustrator) is a plus. Attributes: Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality content.
