Afternoon Dispatch Coordinator | Trucking & Logistics Location: Minooka, IL (100% On-Site) Shift: 1:00 PM- 9:30PM Position Type: Full- Time, Benefit Eligible Compensation: $20-$21 per hour Position Overview We’re looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Dispatch Coordinator to help keep our evening terminal operations running smoothly.

In this role, you’ll play a vital part in ensuring freight moves safely, efficiently, and on schedule while supporting drivers, customers, and terminal teams. What You’ll Do Serve as a central point of communication between drivers, terminal operations, and our customers. Coordinate daily dedicated routes, pickups, and deliveries to support on-time service. Track route progress and delivery performance, proactively addressing issues as they arise. Prepare accurate reports on delivery timing, route performance, and operational metrics.

Ensure drivers are logged in, properly assigned, and operating the correct equipment. Maintain detailed records of shipments, routes, and driver activity. Troubleshoot real-time operational challenges with urgency and attention to detail. Support continuous improvement efforts focused on routing efficiency and terminal flow.

Uphold safety standards and ensure compliance with operational procedures. Work collaboratively with leadership and team members to maintain customer service expectations. What We’re Looking For 2+ years of experience in dispatch, transportation, or logistics coordination. Working knowledge of routing, dispatch, or transportation management systems.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with drivers, internal teams, and customers. Proven problem-solving skills and confidence making decisions in real time. Reliable, accountable, and consistent in performance and attendance.

Knowledge of transportation safety practices and compliance standards is a plus.
