Sushi Chef

As a Sushi Chef will be responsible for making sushi and other offerings in compliance with recipes and standards at O-Kizushi, while delivering an exceptional customer experience. You are responsible for making sushi with our fresh toppings.

Job Responsibilities

Create high quality sushi including cooking rice, rolling sushi, temperature recording, cutting and packaging sushi products Ensure all operating standards including food safety and quality are strictly adhered to Show gratitude and greet every guest with a big, genuine smile and eye contact by following the HCARE standard Provide a high level of attention to guest satisfaction and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers Maintain cleanliness and organization of sushi station Order and receive raw materials and dry good Perform monthly inventory and train of new teammates as required Complete opening and closing duties efficiently and safely, using the correct procedures Complete all assigned daily, weekly and monthly cleaning duties Be a team player; have lots of fun and support other teammates Qualifications : We are seeking people who enjoy working with diverse cultures and thrive in fast-paced environments.

Kitchen, food service environment or food prep experience preferred. Candidate must exhibit strong customer service and communication skills. Additional requirements include: Effective English communication skills Ability to lift up to 25lbs. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment while maintaining a friendly demeanor Ability to stand for an extended period of time Flexibility to work various shifts and weekends Likes dealing with people and loves making sushi Ability to work as part of a solid team; proven team player
