Safety Coordinator

Description Position Summary: The Safety Coordinator supports human resources functions and maintains a safe, compliant warehouse environment. This role includes HR administration, employee relations, payroll/timekeeping support, and safety compliance. Bilingual in Spanish and English is required to communicate effectively with warehouse staff.

Requirements

Safety Coordination Conduct regular warehouse safety inspections and identify hazards. Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures. Maintain records of incidents, near misses, and workplace injuries; report to management and regulatory agencies. Coordinate safety training programs (forklift certification, PPE usage, emergency response drills).

Investigate accidents and recommend corrective actions.

Qualifications

Bilingual in Spanish and English (required). Minimum 5 years of experience in HR, safety, or warehouse operations. Occupational Safety, or related field preferred. Knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and safety regulations (OSHA compliance preferred). Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in MS Office; experience with HRIS or payroll systems preferred. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, stand, and move throughout the warehouse for inspections and training.
