- Youth Program Location: 591 Lakehurst Road, Toms River, New Jersey Position Type: Full Time Salary: $42,000.00 Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of adolescents? Join our after-school partial care program, where you’ll have the opportunity to build strong therapeutic relationships while working in a small, highly collaborative treatment environment that prioritizes individualized, client-centered care. What Makes This Position Special Work in a small therapeutic program that allows for meaningful relationships and individualized, client-centered care for every youth. Collaborate with an experienced multidisciplinary team, including the Program Director, Therapist, and Prescriber, to provide comprehensive treatment. Make a lasting impact on adolescents navigating mental health challenges and the unique developmental issues of the teen years. Receive individual reflective supervision from the Program Director to support your professional development Access free continuing education, trainings, and ongoing professional development opportunities. Job Description/Summary The Youth Support Specialist (Case Manager) is responsible for providing structured partial care program services. An ideal candidate for this position will be energetic, creative, engaging, and be able to work effectively on a team. Will need to demonstrate effective communication skills and ability to manage group dynamics among adolescents (13-17 year olds). This is a great position for a recent college graduate with psychology, social work, and ABA background.
Responsibilities
Responsible for providing direct care services; works with persons served and the multidisciplinary team to plan and implement the plan of care and subsequent reviews reporting changes in service. Provides transportation of all program participants to and from program and adheres to all transportation policies and procedures.
Creates and manages daily transportation route. Prepares and facilitates group activities, which involve psycho education, medication education, nutrition, group counseling, behavior management, community meetings, coping skills, pre-vocational skills, alcohol/drug education, and support groups. Provides management to milieu; including behavioral modification, crisis intervention, moderating group dynamics, conflict resolution, and contraband searching Qualifications Valid NJ driver’s license Complete background check/Fingerprinting requirement CPR/AED/First Aide (provided) Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university and two years' experience in the provision of appropriate services to youth; Competencies: Group experience Proficiently communicates- both written and verbal Exhibits critical thinking, adaptability and flexibility Demonstrates empathy and compassion Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Teams) Satisfactory criminal background check, including a CARI check.
