• Santa Barbara, CA, Salary Range: $20.00 - $23.00Hourly, Custodian – Auto Dealership Position Overview We are seeking a dependable, enthusiastic, and organized individual to join our team as a Custodian. This position is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and orderly dealership facilities, including customer lounges, employee breakrooms, and other designated areas. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has strong attention to detail, and can work independently while supporting the overall needs of the dealership.

Job Responsibilities

Sweep, mop, dust, and clean floors and surfaces throughout the dealership. Maintain janitorial equipment and monitor cleaning supplies. Collect and dispose of trash in designated areas. Clean spills and stains promptly using appropriate cleaning procedures. Follow all safety procedures when handling cleaning products and equipment.

Perform periodic deep-cleaning projects as needed. Keep customer lounges and employee breakrooms clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout the day. Conduct regular walkthroughs of all dealership locations to ensure cleanliness and presentation standards are maintained. Monitor lounge and breakroom supplies and report replenishment needs to the Supplies Supervisor.

Move furniture and other items as needed. Identify and report maintenance issues to the appropriate staff. Perform minor maintenance tasks and other duties as assigned to support dealership operations.

Qualifications

Job Requirements and Qualifications Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and products. Physical ability to stand, kneel, bend, and reach for extended periods. Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and manage time effectively. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining clean, professional facilities.

Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of and adherence to safety procedures and regulations. Ability to read and understand instructions, product labels, and safety information. Dependable, hardworking, and committed to providing a clean and welcoming environment for customers and employees.
