Loader I - 2nd Shift

Job Summary

This 2 nd shift position is responsible for the pulling/picking and loading of all outbound shipments and unloading/movement of all inbound deliveries to the facility.

Duties and Responsibilities

Operates a propane sit-down forklift. Sort shipments for destination and group merchandise to be included with or fulfilled in an order. Loading of finished materials for transport and unloading of raw materials. Moving products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment. Inspect the forklift to determine the need for repairs and to guarantee safety.

Verify piece counts on each pallet and compares to label. Material handling of all products. Follow shipping work orders. Other duties as assigned Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills. Highly motivated with good sound work ethics. Must demonstrate safe working practices and possess great attention to detail.

Team player able to follow instructions from management and peers. Ability to learn and operate new equipment. Ability to use measuring devices (gauges, tapes, rulers). Strong problem-solving skills and math skills with the capability to calculate square footage and batch size.

Education and Experience

Required: High School diploma or equivalent is required. Minimum of one (1) year previous forklift experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in Shipping and Receiving. Working Conditions: Fast paced manufacturing environment, loading dock, and driveways. Will be working in all weather conditions. Hours: 2 nd shift 1:50pm to 9:50pm
