Occupational Therapist - PRN

The Neuro. Medical Center Rehabilitation Hospital is in search of a PRN Occupational Therapist to work in the inpatient rehabilitation setting.

Responsibilities

The occupational therapist must be able to effectively complete comprehensive evaluations, establish treatment plans of care, and provide appropriate occupational therapy treatments to patients with a variety of neurological diagnosis and impairments. The focus of occupational therapy in inpatient rehabilitation is to maximize each patient's recovery and level of functional ability including but not limited to: neuromuscular recovery (through neurorehabilitation), functional mobility skills improvement, activities of daily living skills and independent activities of daily living skills improvement, cognitive skills improvement and proper use of adaptive equipment as needed.

This position also requires effective communication skills to provide continuity of care between therapists and treatment sessions, to educate, and train caregivers, and to provide an interdisciplinary team approach to each patient's care.

Qualifications

Must be an Occupational Therapist with a current Louisiana license. Master's Degree One year or more experience
