Responsibilities include

Inspect Transportation Construction Projects: Ensure all work and materials meet project plans, proposals, and specifications Perform Key Measurements & Calculations: Verify weights, volumes, and measurements to ensure accuracy Prepare “As-Built” Documentation: Plot and run cross sections, and document project progress Conduct Materials Testing: Ensure materials meet quality standards throughout the project lifecycle Daily Documentation: Record all inspection activities and findings in detailed reports Work Outdoors: Enjoy the variety of working in different weather conditions and environments Physical Responsibilities: Be prepared for heavy lifting and manual tasks as part of the inspection process Travel Across the State: Visit construction sites across the state, ensuring every project is up to code Independent Work: Take ownership of your tasks and work with minimal supervision Flexible Hours & Travel: Expect extended hours and occasional overnight stays as part of the role A valid driver’s license is required.

The successful candidate will hold at least two applicable certifications, and one of the following: A Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or related field

  • OR- An Associate’s Degree in Construction Management or related field AND two (2) years of relevant experience -OR- If no degree, at least four (4) years of relevant experience The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following: FDOT Certifications Erosion control Why Mead & Hunt?
