The Assembler will perform any combination of the following tasks to assemble electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems: read work orders, follow production drawings and sample assemblies, and receive verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Accountable for quality, quantity, and inspection of work to be performed Perform basic soldering of SMT and Through Hole Components Perform visual inspections of Surface Mount Assemblies Interpret IPC-A-610 standards for acceptability and customer specifications Work in a team environment to achieve Quality and Throughput Maintain a clean and organized work area Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures Participate in team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals Perform other duties as assigned by either the Quality/Production Manager or the Production Lead NOTE: The proceeding examples are representative of the assignments and responsibilities performed by this position and are not intended to be all-inclusive. Education Required: High School diploma or GED Diploma Preferred: Experience in a manufacturing facility Experience Required: None Preferred: 2 years’ of Electronics Assembly Experience Special Knowledge/Skills Required: Be familiar with and able to use hand tools, electric screwdrivers, pliers, cutters, etc. Attention to detail Strong work ethic Good hand/eye coordination Good working knowledge of electronics Able to work with speed and accuracy Able to communicate effectively and work in a team environment Preferred: Experience with hand soldering of electrical components Experience inspecting electronic circuit board assemblies Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
