Responsibilities

Operate your own tractor-trailer equipment safely and efficiently across assigned routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring cargo integrity and safety. Drive a variety of trailers including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, dump trucks, or freight trailers based on delivery requirements.

Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance logs for compliance and reporting purposes. Plan optimal routes to maximize efficiency and meet delivery deadlines while managing route driving challenges. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns before hitting the road.

Communicate proactively with dispatchers regarding delivery status, delays, or any incidents encountered during transit. Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on commercial driving standards and safety protocols. Skilled in operating manual transmission vehicles with confidence and precision. Familiarity with different trailer types including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.

Ability to load & unload freight efficiently using forklifts or other loading equipment when necessary. Strong route planning skills to ensure timely deliveries while managing route driving complexities. Knowledge of load securement techniques for various cargo types to prevent damage during transit. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers, clients, and emergency responders if needed.
