We are looking for a motivated, dependable Shop Maintenance Utility Person to join our team. This position is based at 14207 Del Monte Blvd.

in Marina, CA, with limited job-related travel required.

Position Summary

Green. Waste is seeking to fill the position of Shop Maintenance Utility Person to provide support to one or more facilities. This role’s main function will perform routine and extensive grounds keeping and building maintenance duties and upkeep with the facility/yard.

Essential Functions

Clean yard/offices/shop (i.e., pull weeds around the property, pick up trash, sweep, mop) Wash equipment/vehicles/bins/carts Maintain Oil Waste Station Maintain Wash Stations Swap out trucks if needed to route drivers and help drivers as needed with route assignments Other duties may be assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities : Ability to perform routine groundskeeping, facility upkeep, and basic building maintenance tasks.

Knowledge of safe work practices when using cleaning supplies, tools, and maintenance equipment. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and complete assigned tasks with limited supervision. Dependable, punctual, and able to adapt to changing operational needs and priorities.

Effective communication and teamwork skills when supporting drivers, shop staff, and other departments.

Qualifications

Valid Driver’s License (Class C) Language Skill: Proficiency in English, Spanish a plus Physical Demands: Frequently required to walk Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms Occasionally required to stand; sit; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl; and talk; or hear Frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception Work Environment Typical work week is Monday through Friday.

Will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions. Ability to work in setting with frequent changes in equipment, start/end time, service city/town and routes based on the operational needs for the day and or week.
