Before and After School Child Care Assistants - Various positions (AM and PM)

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION: Primary responsibility is to assist the SACC Instructor in maintaining a safe, nurturing and enriching environment for children. Hours are M-F from 7:00 am to 9:00 am and 3:45 pm to 6:00 pm.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Must be punctual and maintain a good attendance record. Must be able to interact well with students of all ages. Must be able to interact well with colleagues. Some experience working with special needs students preferred. Able to push/pull, bend � minor lifting from time to time is possible. (Up to 50 pounds) Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, and reach frequently.

Must be able to walk on uneven surfaces and maintain balance while assisting students. Must be able to work in varying weather conditions during student loading and unloading. Must obey all state and federal laws and regulations for securing students. High school diploma or GED certificate required. Must pass background check and a physical examination.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT : Specific details involved in the position will be discussed with the administrator during the interview and at the time of hiring for the position. Wage begins at $16.00/hour.
