LGBT Center Student Coordinator - Spring 2027

Job Description This position is for the duration of the Spring 2027 semester. Orientation will take place based on your schedule. Student Coordinators are not expected to work during finals weeks or CWRU academic year breaks but may choose to. LGBT Center hours are Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm plus after hours programing. Work would begin January 11, 2027.

Position Overview

Student coordinators at the LGBT Center aim to create a supportive community for LGBTQIA+ students, staff, faculty, postdocs, alums, and community members. Student coordinators are leaders and advocates for LGBTQIA+ inclusion and social justice in the greater CWRU community. Student employees assist in building a cooperative community by completing projects and outreach for the LGBT Center, as well as offering input on University policies and practices.

Essential Functions

Organize logistics for and attend the LGBT Center’s signature events and programs such as Soirée at The Spot, Sex Fest, Lavender Celebration, and other events as they arise. Facilitate student led groups and/or other programs for students on topics relevant to the Case Western Reserve LGBTQIA+ community Outreach for the LGBT Center’s events through email listservs, newsletters, flyers, social media, and word-of-mouth.

Co-facilitate peer-to-peer workshops Participate as a mentor in the undergraduate cohort of the Center’s Queer Peer Mentoring program. Staff the LGBT Center front desk Attend weekly staff meetings Attend 1:1 meetings with Grey every other week Advocate for LGBTQIA+ interests across campus. Collaborate with other organizations on campus through partnered events Represent the Center at campus events Provide resources for those seeking support Other duties as assigned.

Work-study status is not required. Hours: 10-15 hours/week Pay Rate: $13.44/hour

Undergraduate student Completion of at least 1 semester at CWRU
