Inside Sales Representative

Description POSITION SUMMARY This role will assist new and current oil and gas automation customers, outside sales team and purchasing manager though creating orders and updating the internal ERP system. This role assists the Outside Sales and Purchasing departments fulfill customer requirements by creating quotes and orders in the computer system.

This role requires strong customer service, organizational, analytical, and computer skills. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Enter quotes, sales, service, and purchase orders into company ERP system. Serve customers in person and over the phone to help grow sales. Coordinate, fulfill, and follow up on customer orders. Build and maintain lasting relationships with teammates, customers, and vendors.

Assist walk-in customers to identify the appropriate products and solutions for their requirements. Communicate with vendors to expedite and follow up with customer needs. Create new part numbers in the company database. Maintain accuracy of computer system transactions and records. Update vendor delivery dates to accurately reflect changes and ensure reliable system data.

Effectively use inventory software to retrieve stock status, customer, and order information. Process customer returns ensuring inventory and accounting accuracy. Other duties such as assisting with quarterly inventory counts will be assigned.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES COMPETENCIES Strong attention to detail at all times Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook) Customer-service orientation: maintains a helpful, friendly attitude under stress Technical aptitude and willingness to learn mechanical and electrical product concepts Professional-level mathematical, verbal, and written communication skills Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE Industrial inside sales and/or purchasing experience (preferred) Experience with industrial automation and electrical equipment (desired) Familiarity with Epicor P21 software (a plus) WORK ENVIRONMENT Work in a fast-paced environment Provide solutions for opportunities of improvement Willing to get into the details to find issues Team-oriented Position is standard Monday-Friday week with overtime as needed to complete duties and projects
