Job description
About Maven
Maven Robotics is building the world’s leading general-purpose AI robots, intelligent machines designed to operate safely and effectively across complex, real-world environments. We bring together cutting-edge AI, hardware, and software to build systems that can learn, adapt, and perform meaningful work in the physical world. Our team operates at the intersection of advanced research and real-world engineering, moving quickly from ideas to prototypes to deployed systems. We’re building an ambitious team of engineers, researchers, and operators who are excited to solve hard problems, move fast, and help define the future of intelligent robotics.
About the Role
As a Data Collection Operator at Maven Robotics, you’ll operate robots using advanced data collection systems and play a hands-on role in developing cutting-edge AI-powered robotics. You’ll work closely with our robotics and AI teams to collect high-quality motion and behavioral data used to train robots to perform complex tasks in dynamic, real-world environments.
What You'll Do
- Operate robots using advanced data collection systems
- Guide robots through designated motions, manipulation tasks, and workflows to collect high-quality demonstration data
- Upload, validate, and organize collected data used for training AI models
- Identify, troubleshoot, and report operational issues during data collection
- Follow robot bring-up, calibration, and shutdown procedures to ensure safe, reliable operations
- Collaborate closely with AI, perception, and controls engineers to refine teleoperation pipelines and improve robot behaviors
- Maintain a safe, efficient, and organized work environment throughout data collection and operations
What We're Looking For
- Excellent physical coordination, spatial awareness, and attention to detail
- Ability to operate data collection equipment for extended periods while maintaining focus
- Comfortable standing, walking, and operating equipment for 8+ hours per day
- Quick learner who can efficiently master new physical tasks, tools, and workflows
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative, receptive to feedback, and excited about robotics, AI, and emerging technologies
Nice to Have
- Experience with teleoperation systems, humanoid robots, or robotic manipulators
- Familiarity with VR interfaces, haptic devices, motion tracking, or robotic control systems
- Basic hardware and software troubleshooting skills during robot teleoperation
- Enthusiasm for developing and scaling next-generation robotic systems
