Academy Daycare Teacher

Concord Academy is accepting applications for full-time teachers in our Daycare program. We are looking to add creative and loving early childhood teachers to our team!

Position Summary

Concord Academy Daycare provides a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment that supports the spiritual, social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children. This position partners with families and staff to foster a Christ-centered atmosphere of love, learning, and growth.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times. Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons, crafts, and activities that align with Christian values. Encourage positive behavior through patience, consistency, and love. Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding daily activities, progress, and concerns.

Assist children with personal care routines, including meals, hygiene, and rest periods. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure smooth daily operations. Follow all Concord Academy policies, licensing regulations, and health/safety standards. Model Christian character and encourage spiritual growth through prayer, Bible stories, and worship activities.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or CDA preferred). Prior experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or church setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). A heart for children and a commitment to Christian education. Work Schedule Full-time or part-time position; hours vary based on enrollment and program needs.

Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 30 lbs., sit or stand for extended periods, and actively engage with young children.
