Diesel Mechanic

Diesel Mechanic Location: Douglas, GA Job Description We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Douglas, GA. The ideal candidate will have experience working on diesel-powered garbage trucks and be capable of performing maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to ensure our fleet operates efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel garbage trucks. Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using appropriate tools and equipment. Repair or replace defective parts including engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulic systems. Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical problems. Keep work area clean and organized.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, specifically with garbage trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles. Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Proficient with diagnostic tools and equipment. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
