Hansen’s IGA Market is looking for a dependable, customer-focused Front End Manager to oversee daily checkout and customer service operations. You’ll guide the team, coordinate coverage and breaks, handle customer concerns, and help ensure cash-handling procedures are accurate and consistent. This is a hands-on leadership role—you’ll work alongside cashiers and customer service associates while keeping the front end organized and running smoothly. What You’ll Do as Front End Manager Lead daily front end operations, set priorities, and delegate tasks. Coordinate register coverage and team member breaks to keep checkout moving. Provide friendly service, answer questions, and resolve customer concerns. Assist with checkout and customer service desk duties as needed. Train and mentor cashiers and customer service associates on service expectations, register procedures, and cash accuracy. Complete assigned opening and closing tasks, including preparing registers, balancing the safe, and settling cash drawers. Review register balances and transaction records; investigate and report discrepancies. Coordinate change orders, bank deposits, and petty cash according to store procedures. Monitor lottery ticket inventory and investigate discrepancies. Maintain accurate front end records, including accounting logs, customer concerns, delivery logs, and lost and found. Support store promotions and sales events. Keep checkout lanes and customer service areas clean, organized, and safe. Communicate staffing needs, operational concerns, and unresolved issues to store leadership. What We’re Looking For in Front End Manager Must be at least 18 years old. Previous customer service, cash-handling, and leadership experience. Ability to give clear direction, delegate work, and support a team. Accuracy and attention to detail when handling cash and maintaining records. A calm, professional approach to customer concerns and busy periods. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to set priorities and make decisions within store procedures. Basic computer skills and the ability to learn register and reporting systems. Availability for scheduled shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

Physical Requirements for Front End Manager Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and push or pull during a shift. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, with reasonable accommodation as applicable.
