LPN or Surgical Scrub Tech

LPN Scrub Nurse: Handles instruments, supplies and equipment during the surgical procedure functions under the direction of the sponsoring physician and within the privileges granted by the governing board.  has an understanding of the procedure and anticipates the needs of the surgeon.  Is constantly on vigil for maintaining a sterile field.

Has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure.  Has knowledge of sterilization and disinfection. Cleans and prepare instruments for disinfection and sterilization and terminal cleaning of the operating room according to recommended practices. This position includes duties of central processing, and sterilization of instruments.
