Maintenance - Part Time

Join Our Team as an Engineer at the Homewood Suites Raleigh Cary I-40 ! Do you love troubleshooting, working with your hands, and learning from experienced pros to keep a hotel running flawlessly? At Parks Hospitality Group , we are looking for a dedicated and motivated Engineer to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will be a vital part of keeping our property in peak condition—working side-by-side with our engineering team to tackle routine maintenance, master preventive care, and handle basic repairs across all of our key facility systems.

This is a part-time position, 2 days per week/16 hours per week. What You’ll Do: Assist with routine maintenance tasks, including painting, plumbing repairs, electrical work, and HVAC system maintenance. Perform maintenance and preventive repairs on building systems and equipment throughout the property. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment, such as refrigerators, ice machines, and laundry equipment.

Help maintain the cleanliness and safety of the hotel grounds and public areas. Respond to guest requests for maintenance assistance in a timely and courteous manner. Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment. Adhere to safety and security guidelines in the use of tools and equipment. What You’ll Need: A high school diploma or equivalent.

At least 1 year of previous experience in a maintenance or construction-related field. Basic understanding of building maintenance principles and practices. Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with both guests and colleagues. Willingness to learn and develop maintenance skills. Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

Physical stamina to perform maintenance tasks, including lifting at least 25 pounds, standing for extended periods, and bending/kneeling.
