Civil Construction Technician

Join our dynamic team as a Civil Construction Technician, reporting directly to the Civil Foreman. In this role, you will be instrumental in executing foundational and structural tasks for critical infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for constructing concrete forms and pouring foundations for equipment platforms, structural shelters, and communication towers.

Key Responsibilities

Construct, place, and finish concrete for various structures, including equipment pads and tower foundations. Perform a range of civil construction duties such as site preparation, demolition, basic carpentry, fencing, and painting. Operate core drills to create precise openings for service entries and set concrete anchors securely.

Collaborate effectively with the team while also demonstrating the ability to work independently, making sound judgments that align with company standards. Maintain open communication with the Civil Foreman, providing updates on progress, identifying potential issues, and clarifying project needs.

Requirements

Desired Skills & Qualifications Proven experience in general construction, including earthwork, equipment operation, and concrete/asphalt installation. The ability to interpret construction drawings and blueprints is a strong asset. Familiarity with electrical grounding techniques, such as exothermic welding (cad-welding), is highly desirable.

A commitment to continuous learning and professional growth within the construction field. Must possess strong communication skills and the ability to learn through on-the-job training and self-directed study. A valid driver's license and a driving record that meets our company's insurability guidelines are required. Work Environment This position requires the physical capacity to perform all related duties in a construction setting.

You must be comfortable and able to work safely at elevated heights, including on rooftops and ladders. Please note that the scope of this role is dynamic, and duties may be adjusted to meet project requirements.
