Job Summary
Leads the Process Engineering team in improving operational efficiency, quality, and productivity. Oversees process optimization, continuous improvement initiatives, and technical problem-solving to support business objectives.
- Process Design & Development
- Lead the design and optimization of lead oxide production processes to meet quality and yield targets.
- Translate production requirements into process parameters that align with industry and safety standards.
- Analysis & Validation
- Conduct process feasibility studies, simulations, and technical calculations to evaluate production performance.
- Perform process validation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis to ensure stable and reliable operations.
- Project Execution & Support
- Lead or support process improvement projects from initiation through implementation, ensuring timely and cost-effective results.
- Provide technical guidance to production and maintenance teams to resolve process-related issues.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure process operations comply with environmental, safety, and quality regulations and company standards.
- Document process parameters and changes; prepare technical reports for audits and certification purposes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with R&D, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams to align process developments with operational needs.
- Participate in technical meetings and design reviews; communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Process Improvement & Innovation
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance process efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Recommend engineering best practices, new technologies, and process control methods for continual innovation. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain detailed records of process parameters, changes, and performance metrics.
- Prepare presentations and regular reports on process status, improvements, and project progress for management review.
Education
& Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mining, Materials, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in lead oxide or similar powder production processes Skills & Competencies:
- Strong technical expertise in process engineering principles, including process optimization and troubleshooting
- Proficiency in data analysis, statistical process control, and process simulation tools
- Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
