About the Role

The Pacer Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance and safety of pacemaker devices used in medical settings. The technician will collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to ensure devices meet stringent regulatory and quality standards. By maintaining detailed records and performing routine inspections, the Pacer Technician helps prevent device malfunctions and contributes to improved patient outcomes.

This role requires a strong technical aptitude combined with a commitment to precision and reliability in a healthcare environment. Full-time, Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm Location: 5951 Cattleridge Avenue, Sarasota, FL Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of Pacemaker/ICD Program.

Current certification as a Cardiographic Technician (CCT). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Proven experience involving pacemaker or cardiac devices. Strong understanding of electrical systems, circuitry, and diagnostic equipment. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a hospital or clinical environment. Familiarity with FDA regulations and medical device compliance standards. Knowledge of software used for device programming and diagnostics. Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with healthcare professionals and vendors.

Responsibilities

Analyze and reprogram various brands of CIEDs Analyze heart rhythms on the telephone and remote transmissions Analyze and recommend processes and quality improvements and additional staff development Clinical documentation utilizing the electronic medical record Manage holter monitors (application of monitor, download report and generate report for provider to review) Manage/track remote pacers (includes scheduling) Skills: Communication skills enable the technician to collaborate with medical staff and explain technical information clearly.

Attention to detail is critical when documenting maintenance activities and adhering to regulatory standards. Additionally, staying current with evolving technologies and compliance requirements allows the technician to apply best practices and improve device management continuously.
