Essential Functions:

• Perform technical tax reviews and approvals of tax returns.

• Lead and delegate tax research and tax planning projects.

• Actively participate in client meetings and tax strategy development.

• Serve as a resource to staff and address complex tax issues.

• Communicate key tax updates to both the internal team and clients.

• Manage, train, and mentor staff, providing performance feedback and guidance.

• Ensure efficient and timely delivery of tax projects, meeting productivity goals.

• Stay informed on economic and legislative changes impacting the tax landscape.

• Achieve business development goals by marketing firm services to current and prospective clients.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

• CPA certification (MBT is a plus but not required).

• 9+ years of tax experience.

• Strong technical tax consulting skills.

• Leadership abilities in coaching, mentoring, and directing staff.

• Excellent communication skills (written and oral).

• Proven success in business development and marketing.

At our firm, we're looking for candidates who are fully authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future sponsorship. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to welcoming dedicated professionals to our team!

Olsen Thielen offers a competitive compensation and benefits package designed to reward performance and recognize your value to the firm. The starting salary range for this role is $130,000 to $150,000, based on factors like experience, qualifications, and organizational needs.

Compensation

also includes a bonus structure and eligibility for a discretionary annual incentive program. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, paid time off, holidays, 401(k) with employer contributions, profit sharing, and more.
