Mental Health Aide

Under the supervision of the management staff and responsible for providing direct therapeutic services to residents of the program. These services include but are not limited to: crisis intervention, medication management, training in activities of daily living. Responsible for maintaining the physical environment of the residence.

All responsibilities under hospital and residential policy and procedures. Additional Requirements: Experience in mental health, substance abuse and/or residential setting. Require skills but not limited to:

• Basic Writing Skills
• Verbal Communication
• Written Communication
• People Skills
• Resolving Conflict Physical Requirements:
• Walking up and down stairs while carrying items;
• snow removal;
• restocking supplies;
• sweeping and mopping;
• cooking and cleaning duties.

Education

High School Diploma; Associates or Bachelor preferred Valid driver’s license in good standing Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, WORD, Excel, PowerPoint) and database navigation required. Location: Brooklyn, NY
